Psychosocial Recovery Coach

Affinity Recovery Coach assists Participants with Psychosocial disability to build capacity and resilience through strong and respectful relationships to live a full and contributing life. 

What is Psychosocial Recovery Coach?

This support is designed to be able to maintain engagement through periods of increased support needs due to the episodic nature of the mental illness. Recovery coaches work collaboratively with participants, families, carers and other services to identify, plan, design and coordinate NDIS supports.

Recovery Coaching

Working with participants to develop strategies and positive habits for implementation throughout their daily lives. Coaching to build on strengths, knowledge, skills, resilience, and decision-making with the aim of greater choice, control and independence in managing their personal choices. Discussing progress and strategies with the families and representatives of clients. Prepare plan reviews and other requested reports to the NDIA and your team leader and help clients better understand the NDIS. We Co-ordinate a range of supports including informal, mainstream and funded providers and support participants to complete service agreements where required and also regularly monitor plan outcomes and expenditure to ensure the services remain within the plan budget Strengthen and enhance the client’s ability to coordinate supports and self-direct their services in the longer term.
